In these seasonal workshops, we will explore ways to harness the full potential of each season as well as ways to mitigate the challenges they may present through a multitude of traditions rooted in cyclical living.
MamaBaby Yoga Series
Come join me for a playful, light-hearted and feel-good class for Mamas and pre-crawling babies on Sunday afternoons! We will focus on community building through sharing our experiences of new motherhood while also bonding with our babies and getting to know our beautiful new bodies. Balancing both restorative core movements and relaxing breathing techniques/movements, we hope you leave feeling empowered and at ease in this transitional phase of life. During class, sometimes wearing baby will feel better and sometimes placing baby on a soft blanket will feel like just enough space for mama to lighten her load a little - the choice is yours! I hope to see you there!
Prenatal Yoga Series
Join me on Sunday afternoons for prenatal yoga at Wilmington Yoga Center. We create a beautiful and sacred space together in circle, sharing our experiences of pregnancy and bonding with one another during this unique time. We also, of course, move in ways that honor the female body during during pregnancy - creating strength as well as fluidity, balance and creativity. We also incorporate meditation, breath work, and a sweet integration/savasana. I have been teaching prenatal yoga for over 6 years now and really enjoy working with women during the motherhood/childbirth continuum.
Sound Bath
Taylor & Danielle will guide us through a slow, flowing movement practice focused on the rhythmic quality of our breath. The class will be a slightly heat-building moving meditation that opens not only the body, but the mind and heart as well. Then we will smoothly transition into a deeply restful and restorative practice using lots of yummy props, which promotes the release of tension and stress. During the movement practice, Danielle will incorporate singing bowls to weave sound and frequency into the mind, body and soul down to the cellular level. The relaxing, meditative tones invite the listener to explore their internal landscape. These tools invite the listener into an enchanting sound healing journey like no other. The energy of the facilitator and the listener becomes the song of the collective group. We will infuse movement and breath with sound to allow the tones and the pauses to flow and land wherever our bodies need.
Baby Month
Baby girl will be arriving some time in April (or May…) - I will probably be updating a few things before she comes, but then will be taking at least 6 weeks off <3
